Apparently federal agents from the FBI, CIA, INS, and police, can remotely activate the microphone on many kinds of cellular telephones, mobile phones, and hand phones. It seems that it can be done by a software download. The article alleges that cell phone carriers can easily download and run programs on any individuals handset.
