What if I don't like the attorney that my prepaid legal plan offers?

In this case, you may be in a worse position than if you didn't have the prepaid legal service:

• How much time and money will you spend to find out you don't like their prefered provider
• Could you have used that time and money to find a better provider?

Even if you can get a list of the local provider attorneys for the prepaid legal service you are considering, it may be difficult to evaluate them if you don't have a current need for their services.

The local bar association will probably provide you with referals to local attorneys who have agreed to allow you an initial visit at a reduced cost. You may be able to use two or three of these visit to get a variety of initial opinions before you choose an attorney for your project.
