A lot of people think the style of the new Igor movie looks like Tim Burton's style used in Nightmare Before Christmas, or Corpse Bride. There is a commercial running now on TV advertising the launch of the movie, and many people think that it looks like Tim Burton's artistic style.

However a study of the people involved with Igor movie does not show anyone in common with the list for Nightmare Before Christmas or Corpse Bride.

Actually, Henry Selick was responsable for the art direction of 'Nightmare Before Christmas' (Burton wrote the script). Tim Burton didn't invent this art style, he's just the most notable current practitioner of it... The style owes heavily to the horror films of the 20s and 30s. The visual style of 'Corpse Bride' was heavily inspired by the german art film 'the Cabinet of Doctor Caligari', made in the 1920's, so it's rather unfair to say they're ripping off Burton. They're following an ancient recipe for monster movies.
