England Flooding

Flooding in England in center and west of country submerged. Some towns and villages cut off, looking like islands, with the Royal Air Force rescuing people.

  • Claim it's a taste of things to come. "We're going to have to think about abandoning some areas,... because with climate change, we're going to have even more water flowing in these areas."
  • Glouchester - river to reach record levels. An additional 500,000 people may be without power if additional substations are flooded.

China Flooding

China is having heavy rains across several provinces. Right in the middle of China's rainy system, it has hit with a vengeance this year. Huge flooding this year, billions of dollars in damages. More rain, and Chinas rivers at record levels, more flooding could happen.

  • Tens of millions of people affected, but many are used to it.
  • There is very little people can do to protect themselves.

City of Miami New Haven Giving Identity Cards to Illegals

City of New Haven giving out IDs to everyone, including illegal aliens. They want banks to accept these IDs so that illegals can have an easier time opening bank accounts and dealing with the police.

Tamaflu may cause bizarre behaviour in teenagers

Tokyo Japan family of a teenager who too tamaflu is suing the government over the drug. 200 reports of people acting strangely after taking drug. It is used very widely in Japan as a defense against bird flu. In March, government said that 10-19 year olds were not to get this drug.

    • Link between tamaflu and abnormal behaviour in people and children and teen agers.
    • About 6 million take the Roche produced drug every winter.

Zimbabwe

Zimbabwe opening a new parliament, to solute President Mugabe, letting him have a pomp and circumstance speech on his favorite themes blaiming foreigners for the problems in the country.
Inflation in Zimbabwe approaching 5000% (with some estimates saying as much as 9000%). Shops are empty. 3000 a day refuges going to other countries.
