Microfiche is sheet of film, often 4 x 6 inches or 3 x 5 inches in size, which contains miniaturized photographic images of documents. These images may contain text, or they may be pictures in black and white. The term Fiche is synonymous with Microfiche. Ultrafiche is a type of microfiche containing images that are reduced by a factor of 90 or more.
