A motorized scooter is vehicle consisting of a footboard mounted on two wheels and a long steering handle, propelled by a 50cc gas motor, such as a Segway, GoPed or BladeZ, or even Xtreme Scooters.

A motorized kick scooter may have an electric or a gas motor. Electric motors are good for zero pollutant emissions and low noise. Electric scooters can travel from 10 to 25 miles per hour depending on the model, and go 10 to 15 miles on a charge (depending on the rider's weight and riding style), such as a ZAPPY. Gas scooters can travel speeds from 15 up to 45 miles per hour. These numbers can vary depending on the weight load. Gas motors provide more power, travel farther, attain higher speeds, and you can do more extreme tricks and off road fury than electric scooters. Gas scooters provide many more options for upgrades and engine modifications. Really good scooters can be upgraded with a Nos tank or Nitrous Oxide, this can increase the maximum speed by about 40 miles per hour, but you might burn a hole through your engine. Racing modification is also an option.
