When God created man as a free moral agent, didn't He take a chance that man would choose to sin? Hadn't He previously taken a chance when He created other, higher beings as free moral angels?
Furthermore, when Christ became incarnate, was there no risk, no chance that He might fail in His mission. The reformed theologian says, "No!" But it seems to me that the SDA position has always been that Jesus Christ did take a risk or a chance that He would fail in His mission.
Isn't the very concept of free will bound up with risk or chance?
