The World Of Difference Between The Amount of Knowledge And The Use Of Knowledge

I think you and I agree in that we have more knowledge these days than ever. That was my point. How one uses the knowledge as you as you mentioned "There can be a world of difference between the amount of knowledge and the use of that knowledge" was not what I was addressing. The example you gave was very appropriate and as a matter of fact has haunted generations and generations. This is what this quarter's lesson is all about.

King David and King Solomon failed to give their children what they needed and one could argue this went on because they were busy doing the Lord's work. We now have to ask ourselves the question, "Why do we keep on repeating the same mistakes?" in spite of our enormous knowledge at our disposal.
Clearly, there has to be an underlying mechanism that theology or religion cannot explain.

As to the marketing of health care as in your contention of "cure" versus "masking" all I can say is there is always a percentage of people, in all walks of life (religious or secular) who takes advantage of "the system." I for one have always been honest to my patients because of its intrinsic value (nothing to do with my religious beliefs). I fully believe wisdom is more powerful than money.

And before I end, if you suspect your physician is being devious and dishonest to you, fire him!
