Questions arise from your assertion that Jesus was born as we are. What results of Adam's transgression do we inherit? Do we inherit his alienation from God? Or does alienation from God only come about when we choose to sin? And if alienation from God comes about from our choice of self-centredness, when does one become responsible for self-centredness? Was Jesus born self-centred? Was He born alienated from God? If Jesus was not born self-centred and alienated from God, was He different from any other new born baby? If He was not born self-centred and He was born the same as us, doesn't that mean that stillborn babies and those that die before the age of responsibility (how ever many picaseconds that may be after birth) will automatically have eternal life?
Just wondering.
(I'm remembering Jean Zurcher's book, "Touched by Our Feelings"
that you recommended to me many moons ago. One of the best I have read on the history of the belief in the SDA Church, though you can probably tell it left me with many questions about his conclusions.)
BTW, thank you for your post about the "thousands" of Ex 20:6.
