Yes, 5 years ago exactly, June 27th 2006, Adobe released ActionScript 3.
First time introduced through Flex 2.0 and Flash Player 8.5, later renamed Flash Player 9.
The introduction of AS3 changed the face of Flash and allowed people build business on top of our platform. More than that, it allowed Flash developers to officially put on their resume "Flash Developer".
I still remember those days, so much power available to us, ActionScript developers and we are about to reproduce this with Flash Player 11 and AIR 3 with Stage3D (Molehill).
