I have interVideo WinDVD Creator also on my system. Last night I rendered my PPro project to a low quality AVI, and it ended up being 14GB for 67 minutes of video. I'm going to import that AVI into WinDVD Creator.
- The wizard wants the format: NTSC, MPEG Audio
- Direct recording formats: | DVD HQ | High Quality | 60 minutes |
DVD GQ Good Quality 90 minutes DVD SP Standard Play 120 minutes DVD LP Long Play 180 minutes DVD EP Highest Play Time 240 minutes - I like that the DVD EP format is offered, I didn't see how to do that with Encore.
- I chose DVD GQ since I'm just over an hour
- Video format on direct record to dvd disk choices: Format compatible with DVD player / format compatible with dvd recorder. I'm not sure why to choose one over the other, so I leave at the default which was DVD Recorder
- ok... Went through and picked out the chapter points. It automatically made submenus with three chapters on each. It's now rendering to hard drive.... Took about 15 minutes to get it setup, and most of that was just going through and setting the chapter points. It's previewing the video while it renders it, it suggested high quality would fit on the DVD.
| Was able to create a DVD with this software. When rendering to hard drive it creates directories rather than an .ISO image.
BAD: I went in and created all my chapters, created the disk, then went in to properly set the title on all the chapters. After that I saved the .WCP file, then started the process to render to a DVD disk. In the middle of the rendering apparently my external drive came unplugged. This software, and premier pro froze up, and I couldn't get the drive to come back online. So I rebooted. I went back and loaded the WCP, and all the chapter information was gone except for the last chapter! I looked in the WCP file with an editor and it had my edited chapter headings, but for some reason they weren't being displayed as submenu pages. |
