iPhone mentioned on the Armstrong And Getty Radio Talk Show July 23, 2007
- July 23 2007 - Armstrong & Getty Show talked about getting an iPhone.
- Joe accidentally dropped his the first day, and the screen shattered. (Reminds me the time I shut the back door of a delivery vehicle, and when it wouldn't close, I discovered it was my new PDA phone that had been shattered. I had to use the Sprint replacement plan)
- Some places are replacing the iPhones, others are making you buy a whole new phone, for another $700.
- He bought his from a phone store. They sent him to the Apple store. He said the salesperson told his plight to the manager, the manager sized him up from a distance, and approved the exchange. It's unknown what makes them decide to say yes or no. This sure smells like a Denny's "They wouldn't serve us" kind of lawsuit waiting to happen. Hint: How about a class action on behalf of those who were arbitrarily denied a replacement for a broken iPhone?
- There is a $15 case that makes the phone a little bulkier, but would probably protect it from a fall. Jack & Joe think it should be mandatory to make the user purchase it.
