Roundup is a herbicide that destroys weeds that compete with crops. Roundup Ready crops are planted so that roundup can kill all surrounding crops. Roundup eliminates competing weeds, as well as nearly all native flora—including the milkweed plant, which is the only food source for Monarch butterfly caterpillars. |
